What is the authorization code of a domain?

The authorization code (also known as the EPP code or transfer code) is a unique code required for transferring a domain name from one registrar to another. This code acts as a security measure to protect your domain from unauthorized transfers.

How can I obtain the authorization code for my domain?

For .GR domains: You can request the authorization code from your current registrar, who is obligated to provide it. If you face difficulties, you can contact the National Telecommunications and Postal Commission (EETT) for further assistance.

For .COM domains: The authorization code can be obtained through your current registrar. Typically, there is an option in your account to view or request the code.

For .EU domains: You can obtain the authorization code through your current registrar or via the "My .EU" platform provided by EURid.

What is the cost and duration of a domain transfer?

.GR domains: The transfer is free of charge and completed immediately.

.COM domains: The transfer has a cost equivalent to the registration fee and includes a one-year renewal from the expiration date. The process is completed within 5 days of confirming the request.

.EU domains: The transfer has a cost equivalent to the registration fee and includes a one-year renewal from the expiration date. The process is completed immediately.

What should I pay attention to when transferring my domain?

For .GR domains:

At least 5 days must have passed since the initial registration.
You must have access to the owner's/administrator's email.
There must not be a pending transfer request to a new owner.
If the domain has expired, it can be transferred with renewal to the new registrar.

For .COM domains:

The domain should not have WHOIS Privacy protection enabled.
The domain should not be in "LOCK" or "ON HOLD" status. If it is, it should be changed to "OK."
There should be at least 10 days left until expiration.
At least 60 days must have passed since the last registration, transfer, or renewal.
You must confirm the transfer via the email you will receive.

For .EU domains:

You must have access to the administrator's email.
The domain must not be in "pending delete," "prohibited," or "transfer lock" status.

Can we merge different accounts with domains we have with you?

Yes, you can. Please send us an email from the email address registered with the account you wish to close, requesting the transfer of your domains to the desired recipient account (specifying the recipient's username).
